[[ About Wil Snyder, founder of SnyderSonics ]]

.

Wil Snyder, simply put, is a diamond in the rough. On top of being a talented musician, producer, arranger & composer, he understands people on a deep level. He has been in recovery for 9+ years & truly serves the projects he is a part of, leaning on his spiritual philosophies, removing ego from the equation to serve Music herself. Time & time again, those who have worked with him & know him well, reach out to him for wisdom & guidance not only in the music realm, but in all of life’s endeavors.
.

Wil has proven himself to have a diverse set of skills in the music industry over his 10+ year career. Once he got sober, he starting out teaching. Wil taught privately, eventually co-founding a nonprofit called Colorado Artists in Recovery, to help those in recovery nurture their creativity in a safe space, designed for healing, which has done nothing but blossom since. He then joined band after band in every genre imaginable, building up his live chops. He has played with jambands, hiphop & pop projects, orchestras, jazz trios, americana & blues groups, singer-songwriters, metal bands & more. In the last few years, Wil has picked up another skill set of producing, for others and for his own work in the Sync Licensing territory.

.

As mentioned above, Wil has been a part of the industry for 10+ years, logged over 1000+ hours of studio time, had 100+ students with low turnover & worked with some prominent names along the way in live settings & in the studio. As an instrumentalist, Wil plays piano & all keyboards - organ, synths, clav, etc - at a virtuosic level. Some of the names Wil has worked with include Scott Page (of Pink Floyd, Toto, Supertramp), Grammy & Academy award winner Paul Williams, Grammy winner Boo Mitchell, Wes Hamil, members of Umphrey’s McGee, the Disco Biscuits, the Motet, Maurice Brown & Chelsea Baratz (John Legend). He even studied under Joel Cummins of UM, & classical wizard Alfred Mouledous, which puts him in the direct lineage of Chopin.

.

Wil continues to offer private lessons, recording for studio work & sync licensing, producing & engineering albums farm to table & his services as a “hired gun / sub” for tours & larger gigs. He also shares his experience at speaking engagements, both in music & recovery.

.

In the future, Wil is hoping to expand SnyderSonics to include more driven musicians in the company, to serve the music community & put out great content for film, TV and video games. You’ll be nothing but pleased with his work if you hire him & will be hungry to hire him again & again.
